• Constable (Nursing Orderly): 10th pass + First Aid certificate from St. John’s Ambulance or Red Cross, or 1 year experience in a 50-bed hospital
• Constable (Carpenter): 10th pass + 2 years work experience or ITI Diploma in the trade
• All other trades (Gardener, Tailor, Washerman, Barber, Cobbler, Water Carrier, Waiter): 10th pass + 2 years work experience in the trade or 1-year ITI certificate + 1 year experience
